Character Design Lesson 2

The second lesson of character design saw us working with the art style of our character. To begin with we were given an existing universe and were tasked with creating a character to exist in that universe, I was given ‘The Incredibles’. I started by experimenting with the shapes that are prominent within the stylings of the movie. I then went on to design a rough sketch of a snake like lawyer the Parr’s might come into contact with within their world. After we were tasked with combing out given design styles with the universe we were given. Given that I have the 1950s B-Movie theme I created a quick sketch of a more realistic monster style Jack Jack based on a movie poster of that time.
