More Developed Armilla Thumbnails
I made a few more refined thumbnails deveoping from the more simple ones I drew with pencil. I mainly concentrated on the interiors of the city. I took influence from the description of the taps, showers as-well as the inhabiting young women and nymphs. Although quick drawings I'm still happy with some of the ideas I have come up with, I'm looking to go into more photo/drawing based thumbnails next.
Wow these are really good! I like 10 and I like the low angle of 9. I hope you're feeling more confident after our talk yesterday. Keep this up and you'll be fine
ReplyDeleteAgreed - like what you're doing in 9 - thinking about foreground elements framing the composition. What I would say - just as a tip - is don't get too drawn into the 'character' elements - your nymphs are great fun, but focus on the spaces and places - really push the logic of 'the city' - so start thinking about transport systems, food production, energy production, religions and cultures associated with Armilla, different sorts of neighbourhoods and districts - think about the problems the city would have to solve - water erosion, soil erosion, mosquitos!!! (and so on!).
