 For our contexts essay this term we have to write a 2000 word essay on a topic of our choice, in order develop a solid idea on what to talk about I created set of mind maps on three potential topics that I could talk about.

Hey Louis, interesting stuff here - the idea of theme park attractions being examples of underrated storytelling is fascinating - and obviously full of content/context/history/and issues of representation; a super-fast Google search led me to this 'curricula' for an entire lecture series on the subject!

    What's completely obvious here already therefore is that you'd need to narrow your focus for a 2000 word assignment; for example, I noted the 'post-colonialism and Adventureland' section on this curricula, which is a handy example of the sort of focusing you'll have to undertake. I feel similarly about Disney's The Song Of The South - but now that Disney own Marvel, and they likewise produced Black Panther, perhaps there is an opportunity here to look at the corporation's representation of Race, and how it's become more progressive (and this could even include Adventureland for the same reason...).

    I think the issue with the 'Package Era' idea is that, if you're not careful, it might be too historical and not 'analytical' enough?
