Foley Sound - Sound design lesson 1
Today we started using adobe Audition in order to edit sound. Similar to Photoshop and photos you can edit sound and remove unwanted things.
The first thing we did was cut out an unwanted phone ring as well as an empty space snd background noise.
The top image shows the sound clip with background noise and below the clip with the background cut out.
After we removed a siren from a sound clip below is the edited and unedited screenshots.
I really enjoyed this first lesson even though I didn't really understand some of the more technical things at first, however I found it really interesting learning about Foley sound design and the ways the created sounds effects for films like Wall-e and Star Wars.
